DANCE POINTE ONLINE
Dance Pointe has temporarily moved classes online!
In response to NYS Executive Orders and as part of our commitment to help keep our local community safe, Dance Pointe has temporarily moved all programs online. We may be staying home, however we are still working hard, learning skills, and engaging with all of the members of our amazing artistic community.

New Student Programs
Now is a great time to get started with Dance Pointe. Start now in an Online Intro Program for New Students and be ready to transition seamlessly to on-site classes later when the studio re-opens.
..."As challenging as the days are, thank you so much for coming up with the virtual classes. It gives my girls something to look forward to, and trying to keep some type of normalcy going on for them. Mr. Jimmy and Ms. Erin were great. They had the girls smiling and exercising. We’re all in this together" ... - Norma C. - Proud Mom
Our teachers will still be working to bring classes to their students. We will be able to take attendance as we normally do in our online classes when you login which will also help us keep track of your child’s involvement. This is also a great opportunity for moms, dads and caregivers to have fun with your children, from our little ones to our most advanced teens, as they learn to practice at home. Barre, stretching and center floor technique and combinations that can be done together, and at the same time you will learn about what your kids have been doing in their dance, music or theatre class.
We feel that it is EXTREMELY important to keep a sense of normalcy for children allowing them to continue to be in their classes, and having that sense of community and security with getting to participate in activities they look forward to. In addition to the curriculum online, we also provide some useful leadership materials for students to help build certainty and knowledge of how we can all be helpful in supporting each other through this with confidence. Our choreography contests are also underway where students send in their choreography and creations, and we encourage, as the weather gets warmer, that it is a great time to take advantage of getting out for walks, runs or bike rides :) We will use this page to connect students and their families to the most up-to-date information on how we are using creative approaches to keep our students engaged as active learners.
Dance Pointe Company
We encourage all students to practice their routines with us at home in an open space. Currently, Power of Dance, Beyond the Stars and Kids Artistic Revue have postponed their events for this month. All three organizations are currently looking for some new dates. None of the organizations have cancelled, they have just been postponed which will most likely extend our team's practice time for when the events are rescheduled. Once we are back on track, we will schedule extra practice time as needed.
Spring Recital Photo Week
Our photo week has been rescheduled from March 23-28 to June 1-6. For more information on recital photographs please visit this photo week link.
Our dress rehearsal is slated for Wednesday, June 17 and recital performances for June 21. We will monitor this as well. For more information on that please visit this recital link.
What that means for all of us is an extended season into July for competitions and recitals.
As this passes
The worst thing in our opinion is to drop all activities, and we feel that even though we are faced with this decision for the safety of our communities, we look at this as an opportunity to make the most of it for our kids and families. We will keep communication open and send updates as needed.
We miss you all, and hope for the best that this will pass soon. Together we can make sure that we are all in good hands among each other to take preventive measures for our families and friends to stay healthy, happy and safe.
We look forward to seeing you all virtually! Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you very much.
